Connect PSP to Mac OSX

How to connect Portable Sony PSP to Mac OSX?

First of all, you need to have a PSP folder on your desktop for this procedures to work.

1. Run the Terminal in /Applications/Utilities/ then type the following in command line,

open /Volumes//PSP/SAVEDATA/

2. Replace with the actual name of the memory card as it is displayed as mounted on the desktop. Usually, it will be "Untitled." If the name has been changed to something like "My PSP Card," then you will need to add an \ before the space in the name. For example, if your Memory Stick were named "My PSP Card" you would type the following:

open /Volumes/My\PSP\Card/PSP/SAVEDATA/

3. Press Return. Then the folder in the Finder would open, then drag all the files that you want to your Mac.

However, if you want this process to be GUI-free, just type the commands:

cd /Volumes/Untitled/PSP/SAVEDATA/
cp -R * ~/Desktop/PSP/

Hit Return after each line. The first cd command will change the directory of the mounted Memory Stick (In this case it called Untitled) to the SAVEDATA folder. The cp -R command will then copy all the files and folders within this folder into a folder called PSP on your desktop.

Introduction
NesterJ is a NES emulator for the PSP that was programmed by "Ruka". It is the best emulator available for NES, and also runs at full speed and almost all games.

Installation

  • You can download it from here
  • Unzip the file and open the folder, you'll see 1 folder NesterJ. Now place the folder NesterJ in "ms0:\PSP\GAME150" if you have 3.xx OE/M33.
  • Finally get the ROMS and place them in the folder "NesterJ"

NOTE: NES roms has the file extension (.nes). This emulator support compressed ROMS in (.zip) format.

Usage
After Placing ROMS in the right place, launch the emulator you'll see the list of ROMS you placed you can play it by pressing circle O. When playing games you can change the display screen by moving analog stick to right. Also you can slow down the game a bit by holding R, or speed it up a bit by holding L. You can also activate the options menu by moving the analog stick to left, here you can LOAD/SAVE state, take a screenshot, and many other options.

Deadalus (Nintendo 64 Emulator)

7:21 PM / Comments (0) / by admin

Introduction
Deadalus is a Nintendo 64 Emulator which has been ported from a PC emulator of the same name and was programmed by "StrmnNrmn". This emulator is still at its first stages so it has a kind of bad speed and bad compatibility.

Installation

  • You can download it from here.
  • Unzip the file you'll see 2 folders (Deadalus & Deadalus%).
  • Place the two folders (Deadalus & Deadalus%) in "ms0:\PSP\GAME150 folder if you have 3.xx OE/M33.
  • Finally get the ROMS and place them in "Roms" folder which is inside "Deadalus"(without %) folder.

NOTE: N64 roms has (.v64, .z64, .rom, etc...) file extensions. This emulator supports compressed ROMS but due to some reason it has to uncompress them in the memory stick, so you need to have enough space for the uncompressed ROMS

Usage
After you have placed the ROMS in correct place launch the emulator and you'll see the list of ROMS choose the ROM you want and press start. Now you'll see a configuration menu here you can enable/disable and change some options like Sound, Controller etc.., or you can leave it with default settings. Now press start again to play the ROM. While playing you can press select to pause and view the menu, you can change between menus by the R & L triggers. If you want to take a screenshot for the current screen, in the pause menu highlight the "Take Screenshot" option and press X. Now you'll find the shots in PNG format in the folder "Deadalus (without %)\Dumps\" Folder. Now scroll to "global settings" menu (by using R & L) here you can do adjustments that might make the game a bit faster. You can increase the frame skip to higher value and the game might speed up but graphics might wend downwards.
